48 pages of high quality paper, hand-sewn into a one-off cover (by me!). Outside is a photo I made of the roof of a birdhouse; the inner cover is a mono-print in pinky purple I made with acrylic paint on a gel plate. Sewn together with waxed linen thread. Each is unique. There’s only one!

I started making these journals to use the odd and ends and test prints around my studio, and they turned out to be so useful! Cute, but not too precious.
Often there’s a photo print on one side of the cover and a mono-print on the other. Mono-printing is just that— done by hand, there is only one and it’s not repeatable. The photos are from my archives over the years; often with additional editing in photoshop. I may reuse the photos but it’s often a different crop or zoom, so these journals are truly one-offs.
