48 pages of high quality paper, hand-sewn into a one-off cover (by me!). Outside is a mono-print in light tones of blues and greens I made with acrylic paint on a gel plate; the inner cover is a photo I made of silks that I dyed in soft, misty colors. Sewn together with waxed linen thread. Each is unique. There’s only one!

I started making these journals to use the odd and ends and test prints around my studio, and they turned out to be so useful! Cute, but not too precious.
Often there’s a photo print on one side of the cover and a mono-print on the other. Mono-printing is just that— done by hand, there is only one and it’s not repeatable. The photos are from my archives over the years; often with additional editing in photoshop. I may reuse the photos but it’s often a different crop or zoom, so these journals are truly one-offs.
