A creative workshop in three acts
Monsters are everywhere. They are public and personal. They are real and pretend. Mythical monsters are both. Why are we so fascinated with them? What can monsters can teach us?
Literature, history, and current events provide the backdrop for understanding our own inner monsters. A mythological-depth psych perspective helps in sorting legitimate fears from approachable anxieties. Looking through this lens, we’ll use guided meditation and imaginal dialogue, journaling and sharing, and the creative process of giving your monsters physical form. By giving the imaginal form, we are able to continue the exploration and dialogue from a new place of detachment.
We’ll use The Monster Workbook, an original publication made for this class. Cost includes your personal copy.
3 Tuesdays from 6-9. Starting 10/16 at Mythos-Sphere Studio in Black Mountain. $99.
